Once all four men sit in their respective seats, a subtitle saying, “BAND MEETING…2:15…MONDAY” pops onto the screen. The video begins with all four band members entering a function hall-type room with four chairs set up in the middle of the room in a square format. While the song itself is a little bland yet still catchy, the accompanying short film maintains its grasp on the viewer, whether or not the viewer enjoys the song. This particular video was quite interesting. They truly are a force for good and have helped so many people who have been “beat up by the falling of the arrows” whose “bones are shattered” to “get up” and get a “second chance” to show the world how they loved.Earlier this week, hard rock band Shinedown released a new music video for their song, “Enemies,” which comes off the band’s latest effort, Amaryllis. Shinedown is an awesome band and deserves all the success they have achieved. I’m just being honest with how I read this and it seems pretty clear to me. I’m not forcing anything on anyone as I hate it when people do that it's annoying and heavy-handed. If you don’t know what that is like, I hope that someday you do. I have felt the presence of God at Shinedown concerts stronger than I have at most churches. The devil wants to destroy everyone that he can, but not only is Brent not going to give in to him personally, but Brent is going to help put people back together, to bring more people to the light, to goodness, to love, to God, which in turn creates more enemies for the Devil. “You want more, but you’ll get nothing from me, but enemies!” The devil is hate and brings with him a burden of sin. “You’re like the burden we bear, you’re all the hate that we share” The devil knows he’s going down and wants to take as many people with him as he can, but he’s not getting Brent and Brent is not going to give the devil anything that he wants. “You want more, but you’ll get nothing from me” The devil’s domain is Earth and he is causing a lot of destruction and evil down here. “You’ve got the world on its knees, you’re taking all that you please”

He will pay for it at Judgment Day and there’s nothing that’s going to stop that and nothing he can do about it. When the devil fell, he took some angels with him and they turned into any angry mob of demons. And their one last wish is that you pay for it and there's no way you're getting out of this!” “You started something that you just couldn't stop, You turned the ones that you love into the angriest mob. If anything, it is truly much more than that, but it does make the point that the devil doesn't stand a chance. God is infinitely more powerful than the devil, so Brent isn’t wrong to exaggerate the odds against the devil beyond the two-thirds of the angels. When Satan fell to the Earth, so did the angels who followed him, but there are twice as many angels who stayed with God, so Satan is outnumbered and as they say in church, he is already defeated. “Where did you think you could go? Cause everyone already knows, it’s twenty to one, so you better run!” That’s what the devil does: he steals, kills, and destroys, and messes with people, makes them hurt each other and do evil things. “Who do you think you are? Tearing us all apart?” The devil is stuck here on Earth with his enemies, which are Shinedown and anyone who is a warrior who fights for good in the world. “It's a cold, cruel, harsh reality, caught, stuck, here with your enemies” Brent is speaking to him from above (“how you feeling down there”) because Brent is on the side of good with Heaven which is above and the devil is beneath Brent's feet. The devil is the one who took a “drop from the top” by falling from Heaven. It's quite a drop from the top, so how you feeling down there?”

“Listen up! There's not a moment to spare. “Enemies” is a badass song because Brent is talking directly to the devil. You turned the ones that you love into the angriest mob.Īnd their one last wish is that you pay for itĪnd there's no way you're getting out of this! You started something that you just couldn't stop,
